FAQs

When can I spay or neuter my puppy or kitten?

We prefer to spay or neuter your pet once they’re at least 6 months old.

When should I vaccinate my puppy or kitten for the first time?

We recommend your pet having their first set of vaccinations at 8 weeks of age, but we can discuss a schedule that works best for your animal.

How often will my puppy or kitten need to come in for vaccinations?

We usually schedule appointments every 4 weeks after the first visit until your pup reaches 16 weeks. This can vary depending on the size and breed of your pet. After that, we recommend annual wellness examinations and booster vaccinations for the rest of their lives.

How often should horses receive dental care?

Most horses should have their teeth examined at least once a year, and the float schedule can be determined based on the examination findings.

What vaccinations do you recommend for horses, and how often?

We advise vaccinating horses for Sleeping Sickness/Tetanus/Flu/Rhino, West Nile, and Rabies. If your horse comes in contact with other horses or you haul to events with other horses present we also suggest a Strangles vaccine. All of these vaccines are administered annually.
