Jack Newman, DVM
Dr Jack Newman is a Great Falls native and has been with Associated Veterinary Services since 1984. He graduated with honors from Washington State University Veterinary School in the early 1980’s. Dr Newman has 40 years of experience with Dogs, Cats and Horses. He has a special interest in Equine Reproduction and Thoroughbred racing. Breeding mares with cooled and frozen semen occupies most of his spring hours. Lameness treatments and keeping performance horses at peak condition fill his summer appointments.
Dr Newman enjoys time off playing golf and attending Washington State University Cougar football games with friends and family. Dr Newman, and AVS practice manager wife, Wendy have 2 adult boys. They have an awesome golden retriever Zena, 2 barn cats and 6 horses.
Elizabeth Bares, DVM
Dr Elizabeth Bares is a North Dakota native who graduated from Iowa State University Veterinary school in 2001. She practiced in Eastern Montana as a mixed animal veterinarian for 8 years before moving to Great Falls.
Dr Bares has worked at Associated Veterinary Services since 2010 where she focuses on small animal medicine, surgery, dentistry and preventative care. She also takes emergency equine call on the weekend rotations.
Dr Bares is married and has 2 dogs, Benny and Yen and a cool cat named Sea Bass.
Jasmine Haynie, DVM
Dr. Jasmine Haynie grew up in the small farming and ranching community of Circle, Montana. She received her bachelor’s degree in animal science from Montana State University and completed her veterinary education at Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016.
After graduation, Dr. Haynie began her veterinary career in mixed animal practice, seeing all creatures large and small. Today Dr. Haynie enjoys focusing her skills on helping cats and dogs. She has a special interest in managing pets with dermatologic issues.
Dr. Haynie calls Loma, Montana her home.
Away from work she can often be found keeping busy in her garden, tending her small flock of chickens, or helping her husband, Kyle, on their farm. Dr. Haynie’s family also includes her young daughter, Willa, and two critters, Millie and Tippy.
Anna Sims, DVM
Dr Anna Sims moved to Great Falls during her freshman year of high school and graduated from Great Falls High. She attended Oregon State University for undergraduate studies in Zoology and obtained her veterinary degree from Washington State University in 2016 (Go Cougs!)
Her species interests in veterinary medicine include working with dogs, cats and horses. She enjoys most aspects of general practice but shows particular interest in her geriatric patients and keeping them as healthy and pain-free as possible.
Outside of work Dr Sims enjoys spending time with her family including her four pets, Hootie, Presley, Poppy and Warren. She enjoys nice walks or runs with her dogs, riding her horse, reading, crafting or working in her garden and yard.
Emma Law, DVM
Dr. Emma Law was born and raised in Great Falls. She graduated from Great Falls High School in 2016 before attending Brigham Young University. She earned her Bachelors degree in Biology and went on to attend veterinary school at Washington State University.
Dr Law enjoys working with animals of all sizes, but takes a particular interest in horses. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Andrew, and their personal zoo of animals.
